“If you’re an individual and you’re thinking of buying a big screen TV, maybe slow down, save that money, see what happens,” Bezos told CNN in a recent interview, as reported by Jalopnik. . “Same thing with a refrigerator, a new car, whatever. Just take a little risk on the table.
While that new car may be on sale right now, that doesn’t mean you can afford high monthly payments, Jalopnik says. However, some people may have no choice but to buy a car now, and there may be ways to make the most of this situation.
Jalopnik noted that car deals during the holidays are usually the result of auto dealers and automakers wanting to empty their inventory before the new year. But stocks have generally been low throughout 2022, as GOBankingRates recently reported, and discounts and rebates can be hard to come by on Black Friday.
Cars.com has compiled a list of several vehicles that offer “above-average incentives” through factory holiday discounts:
2022 Chevy Malibu
- Rebate: $1,000
- Approximate price after reduction: $23,500 to $39,000
- Approximate savings: 3% to 4%
According to Cars.com, the $1,000 cash savings are available through Nov. 30 on Malibu LS, RS, LT, and Premium trims in all regions, and buyers who finance with GM can redeem the cash savings for a rate of 4.29% for 60 months.
Dodge Charger 2022
- Discount: $1,000 to $3,500
- Approximate price after reduction: $30,500 to $49,000
- Approximate savings: 2% to 10%
Car buyers can enjoy savings of up to $3,500, depending on region, on lower SXT and GT trims of the Charger. Those who finance with parent Dodge Stellaris can potentially get 6.49% interest for 60 months plus up to $3,500 in cash. The deal ends November 30.
2023 Jeep Cherokee
- Discount: $1,000 to $3,000
- Approximate price after reduction: $42,000 to $75,500
- Approximate savings: 1% to 6%
Until November 30, you can get a 2023 Grand Cherokee with savings of up to $3,000, depending on region and trim. Qualified buyers can get 6.49% financing for 60 months with up to $3,000 in bonus cash if they finance with Stellantis.
