Jan C. Nowe
YARMOUTH – Jan C. Nowe, 70, of South Portland died, after a long illness, on Tuesday, October 18, 2022.
Jan was born on June 24, 1952 in Haverhill, Mass. of Reverend Glenwood and Clarissa Jorden. She graduated from Arlington High School in Arlington Mass.
She spent summers in Alton Bay, NH, where she met and married her husband on October 21, 1972, moving to Portland. She worked at the Portland Savings Bank until our son was born in 1978. She spent several years homeschooling him until he entered high school.
She loved the many cruises and vacations we have taken in the Caribbean.
She worked for Imany for several years and later for IDEXX where she worked in their human relations department where she retired for medical reasons.
She was predeceased by her father, Glenwood, her mother, Clarissa; and her older sister, Debra Kadey.
She is survived by her husband, Edward; son, Glen; and her younger sister, Andi Burks of Vernon, Vt.
A funeral service, presided over by his brother-in-law, Bruce Burks, will be held at a later date at Goodwin’s Mills Cemetery in Lyman.
