Monson Savings Bank emphasized its culture of philanthropy and gave back to local communities during its 150th anniversary, including these three recent donations.

The Rotary Club of Amherst recently put together their annual donation of 150 padded backpacks with the help of UMass Hockey volunteers at the Boltwood Inn. This is the 12th year that Rotary has supported the Amherst Regional Public Schools Backpack Project. Organizers included Ellen Carey of Davis Financial Group and Anna Holhut of Amherst Insurance Agency, with support from members of the Rotary Club of Amherst and President Claudia Pazmany.

Strengthen wellness and family

bankESB recently donated $5,000 to the Hampshire Regional YMCA to help fund continued welfare programs and family services in Hampshire County. This brings the bank’s total contributions to the organization over the past two years to more than $20,000.
