Expo Center Sharjah said it has finalized preparations to host the 48th edition of Watch & Jewelery Middle East Show (WJMES), Mena’s largest specialist jewelry and watch trade fair, which will run from 5 to 9 October.

This year’s edition will see the participation of nearly 300 exhibitors from Bahrain, China, Canada, Japan, Lebanon, Lithuania, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Turkey, United Kingdom , Brazil, Malta, United States and United Arab Emirates.

Spanning an area of ​​30,000 square meters, the show includes national pavilions for a number of the world’s leading countries in this industry, through which visitors can explore the exclusive and exclusive gold and diamond designs and collections. signature of the most renowned jewelry markets in the world. (Italy, Hong Kong, India, Singapore and Thailand).

“We are delighted with the exceptional participation of the exhibiting companies in this edition, which underlines the leading position of the Watch & Jewelery Middle East Show in the region,” said Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Center Sharjah.

He stated that all preparations have been made to the highest levels of professionalism, in order to ensure the public health of everyone and to provide a unique edition when it comes to presenting the latest collections of luxury jewelry, from watches, precious stones and diamonds.

Al Midfa highlighted the importance of WJMES in supporting the gold industry in the United Arab Emirates, which is considered to be one of the world’s largest gold trading hubs.

The United Arab Emirates accounts for 14 percent of the global gold trade, while the gold and jewelry trade accounts for 29 percent of the country’s total non-oil exports.

“High-end gold and watch products have become an integral part of the way of life in the UAE and the region, with consumption driven by high disposable income,” Al Midfa added.

The exhibition will present cutting-edge products of jewelry, gemstones, pearls and watches inspired by contemporary trends, traditions and different cultures of the world with the highest levels of technology, creativity and excellence.

The show will open its doors to visitors on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., Thursday from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
