HONOLULU (KHON2) – The Ministry of Health has announced its new winner of the “Vax Da Max” competition, the first of four packages offered for its #HIGotVaccinated incentive program.

According to the DOH, Jonathan Morris won a McDonald’s Arch card of $ 400, as well as a “My McDonald’s Rewards points”, loaded with 100,000 points, a new loyalty program available on the McDonald’s mobile app.

This program was created last year, by the state, in partnership with various community businesses, to encourage the people of Hawaii to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

Miles Ichinose, owner and operator of McDonald’s Hawaii, said, “One of the best things you can do is
for yourself, to help avoid contracting COVID is to get yourself vaccinated. “” We think that not only does it help
yourself, but it helps your family and community too, so do it if you can.

Other prizes include a $ 125 Papa John Prize Pack and the new winners of this contest are selected to win an American Savings Bank cash prize valued at $ 5,000.

The DOH received 1,500 entries which will be verified by its department, before contacting all the winners to verify their eligibility. An announcement of the new winners will be made later this week.

The “Hana Hou Round” of the #HIGOTVaccinated competition will end on August 31st.
